Affirm The Positives Everyday

Women visualizing and affirming

I am a BIG believer in making time to affirm the positives everyday. I know from personal experience that it is easy to get caught up in the negativity that surrounds us everyday.

Wallace Wattles the author of the classic book The Science of Getting Rich said, “The daily practice of gratitude is one of the conduits by which your wealth will come to you.”
Seeking out the personal, professional and financial positives is giving yourself an emotional boost of encouragement. The “positives” don’t have to be HUGE or monumental, they just have to be something for which you are grateful.

• I am grateful for the walk I took this morning because I was able to appreciate the beauty of the changing seasons.

• Today I returned three phone calls and scheduled two appointments for follow up meetings.

• I put $10 in my savings account today – Yeah!

How will you begin to become more conscious of affirming the positives in your life? What can you do today to practice living with an attitude of gratitude?

Here is one of my favorite affirmations: I am worthy and deserving of success, happiness and unlimited prosperity. I invite you to make it one of your favorite affirmations also.

I also believe in living with an attitude of gratitude. Here are some “gratitude” quotations I use in my own life. I hope you will enjoy them as well.

* “When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears” Anthony Robbins

* “Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.” Brian Tracy

* “Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Anonymous

I believe that gratitude brings our day-to-day world into “real world” perspective. When we don’t make the time to respect what we currently have and what we’ve accomplished, we are unable to truly appreciate all the wonderful and positive opportunities that are awaiting us in the future.
Here’s what I’d like to suggest: Begin a gratitude journal or notebook. It doesn’t have to be something elaborate or fancy – just something that will allow you to write a sentence or two in it daily. Each day before turning out the lights at night, write at least one thing for which you are grateful. I realize some days you may have to dig deeper than others but the whole purpose is to find at least one thing in your life for which you are grateful, no matter how small. Even the small things can begin to add up and build into major accomplishments.

Isn’t it time to live consistently affirm the positives and live with “an attitude of gratitude?”
